Just 20 miles south of Cleveland, nestled in the heart of the Cuyahoga Valley, is Hale Farm & Village. Surround your guests in the picturesque setting of our 90-acre grounds. The charming historic buildings dating from the mid-19th century are clustered around a pristine village green. Hold your historic moment in the 1850 Greek Revival Meetinghouse. Entertain clients, friends, and family in the Gatehouse or in the Picnic Pavilion. Use our grounds for your next picnic or family reunion.

Availability
The Gatehouse is available for rent Monday - Sunday. During the public visitation season (June-Oct), the full facility is available only after public hours. Portions (half/quarter) of the facility can be arranged during business hours. Rentals generally begin no earlier than 6:00 p.m. and end by 12:00 midnight. Times of availability vary depending on the seasonal calendar and public programs scheduled at Hale Farm & Village.
In celebration of the re-opening of the Meetinghouse and the 50th Anniversary of Hale Farm & Village, we have a special offer. All Meetinghouse reservations booked now through December 31, 2008 are only $500!
Capacity
The Meetinghouse can accommodate a maximum of 180 guests. All guests must be seated in the church pews on the main floor. Only musicians, choirs, or photographers are permitted to use the choir loft.
Availability
The Meetinghouse is available for rent Monday-Sunday during non-public hours.
Rehearsal
Wedding rehearsals are to be scheduled no earlier than 30 days prior to event. The cost for rehearsal is included in rental fee. Rehearsals may not interfere with another rental or event at Hale Farm & Village. There is limited parking for the Meetinghouse. Renter and guests should park in the main parking lot. One to two vehicles may transport guests to the Meetinghouse and are permitted to park behind the Carriage Shed during the rehearsal.
Music
The renter may provide their own music for ceremony purposes. A harpist, string quartet, portable keyboard, etc. is permissible. There are no instruments available in the chapel. There is electricity available for audio/visual equipment.

Transportation

Role Player, Baskets, Broommaking, Candlemaking
• Crafter/ Hale Farm & Village Role Player (minimum of 4 hours). Outside craft/trade sites, such as glassblowing, blacksmith and pottery, are also available for additional fees.
Arrival time for renter and vendors should be arranged in advance as not to interfere with the general public or Museum staff. It is the renter's responsibility to make necessary arrangements with vendors. Any party, including renter and vendors, arriving without prior arrangements will not be permitted to set up. The lower level of the Meetinghouse is available for bridal party changing or pre-event preparation. Entrance to the lower level is located through the restrooms in the back of the Meetinghouse. Guests will be admitted through the front entrance one half-hour prior to the event.
Security
Hale Farm & Village will arrange security personnel. Security begins a minimum of 30 minutes prior to the arrival of the first vendor or guest, and ends 30 minutes after the entire area is vacated, including vendors. Security costs are included in the rental fee.
Decorations/Incoming Equipment/Entertainment
All decorations, incoming equipment, and entertainment must be approved by Hale Farm & Village before the event. The renter or any members of the renter's party are not permitted to permanently alter the conditions of the property including, but not limited to nail holes or permanent markings. Nailing or taping objects such as decorations, flowers, or equipment to any area is not permitted by either the renter or outside vendor. Exposed candle flames are not permitted, with the exception of supervised Unity Candles during wedding ceremonies. Decorations causing a fire hazard will be removed immediately. It is the responsibility of the renter to hang and display decorations. No tacks, staples, or tape are permitted to any painted surfaces. Runner(s) placed in the aisle(s) of the Meetinghouse are the responsibility of the renter. Throwing of rice, birdseed, glitter, confetti, or flower petals, etc., is not permitted inside or outside the buildings. The renter may not move items belonging to Hale Farm & Village. Items must be approved by, and moved by security personnel only. Decorations for public programs may not be removed-no exceptions. All decorations brought in must be removed the same day. Hale Farm & Village and The Western Reserve Historical Society are not responsible for any personal property that has been left, lost, or stolen.
Catering
Hale Farm & Village will provide a list of approved caterers. It is the responsibility of the renter to contact one of our preferred caterers upon booking to make necessary arrangements. The cost for catering is a separate fee and is not included as a portion of the facility fee.
Alcohol
Alcoholic beverages are permitted for rentals held after public hours and must be consumed in moderation. The renter must make prior arrangements with our caterers to serve alcohol at an event.
Smoking
There is no smoking permitted in any of the buildings at Hale Farm & Village.
Parking
Parking is available in the main parking lot located next to the Gatehouse. A tram service is available to transport guests upon request. Any vendor or guest unloading equipment may pull up to the front door to unload for a maximum of 15 minutes. Advance permission is required to unload on site. Vehicles parked at the front door will be towed at owner's expense. No vehicles permitted on village green.
Museum Shop
Arrangements can be made to open Hale Farm & Village's Museum Shop during an event. The shop must be open for a minimum of three (3) hours (see Facility Rental Fees for cost). Advance arrangements must be made a minimum of four (4) weeks prior to rental.
Outside Vendors
All outside vendors (including but not limited to, florists, photographers, DJs, bands, etc.) will be arranged through the renter. It is the responsibility of the renter to inform all vendors of the policies of facility use at Hale Farm. The renter will be held responsible should outside vendors fail to comply with organization guidelines.
Liability / Damages
Renter is responsible for damages caused by vendors or guests to facility or property during rental period. Cost for damages includes worth of item and labor costs.
Payment Policies
50% of facility fee is required to hold the date. The facility fee is non-refundable. It does not include catering costs. Rental of additional facilities is available upon request. Prices are subject to change without notice. The balance of rental and security fee is due no later than 10 days prior to event.
