Genealogical Institute 2008 Class Schedule

The following is a list of upcoming classes which will be offered by the Genealogical Institute in 2008. The Genealogical Committee has been offering yearly classes since the early 1990s.

The fee for each class is $15 per person. Space is limited. Reservations are required.

Genealogy Workshop: Exploring Family History - Topics include getting organized; the research roves, charts and forms; introductions to the U.S. federal census, source citation, the WRHS library, and selected websites. Genealogy Workshop: Overlooked Sources - Topics cover less standard but still valuable sources for genealogists, including: histories, church records, city and county directories, maps and gazetteers, dictionaries, institutional records, school records, migration patterns, newspapers, court records, periodicals, Recorder’s Office records, and more.
